Bismillah...
This book has inevitably become one of my favorite books because of its contents that recounted of various precious moments in "Jalan Dakwah & Tarbiyah". It's almost funny that I can see myself in the book, for I too, has been involved on the same path from my prep college to my university (far, far away in another continent) until now inshaAllah. And so, honestly there were and there are moments from beloved pakcik makciks, and ikhwah akhawat akin to those in this book.
This book has inevitably become one of my favorite books because of its contents that recounted of various precious moments in "Jalan Dakwah & Tarbiyah". It's almost funny that I can see myself in the book, for I too, has been involved on the same path from my prep college to my university (far, far away in another continent) until now inshaAllah. And so, honestly there were and there are moments from beloved pakcik makciks, and ikhwah akhawat akin to those in this book.
The advices that we get (sometimes
hidden, laced with gentleness) from the people around us are simply like
precious gems that we dearly hold on to because, God knows, these words can be
utmost helpful to renew our intentions, to improvise our hamassah, and/or for
our own muhaasabah.
As cheesy as it may sound, I get an intense feeling in my heart reading each chapter of "Sentuhan Al-Akh", and I had to stop for a while, put the book down and take a breath...because that's what good books are. They'll evoke emotional or intellectual or any kind of responses from their readers. This book definitely has got its own...RUH. Alhamdulillah, I believed the writer managed to pen off his shared experiences from a sound heart and with a sound intention.
Quoting one of my favorite "Sentuhan Al-Akh"inspirational and motivational words,
"Tidak ada manusia yang mampu berbicara dengan baik perihal istiqomah sedang dia masih hidup, selagi roh dan jasadnya masih menyatu kerana kualiti istiqomah paling agung hanya dapat dibuktikan tatkala aku dan kalian, saat kita mati dan diarak ke perkuburan, kita mati atas jalan juang ini."

sendiri. Ada yang dengan bicaranya. Ada yang dengan tulisannya. Ada yang dengan
masakannya. Bahkan ada yang cuma dengan senyumannya. Nah, sosok sosok inilah

Subhanallah, buku ini adalah buku
dakwah yang agak santai dan seriesli bila baca karya akhi ini persis panahan
petir yang menusuk ke jantung sampai hangus.
To be honest, terasa sekali kemanisan
berukhuwah bila mentadaburi penulisannya. Rindu pulak dengan environment usrah
dahulu bersama ikhwah.
Here’s a big question, adakah aku telah
bersedia menjadi al akh itu?
