In the name
of Allah, the Benevolent, the Merciful
Praise be
to Allah, Lord of the Worlds
The
Benevolent, the Merciful
Master of
the Day of Judgment
You do we
serve; You do we ask for help
Guide us on
the right path
The path of
those You favor
Not those
who earn Your wrath
Nor those
who go astray
-Al Fatihah
Exquisite,
is not it?
We recite
this every day, seventeen times per day at least and it could be limitless. If
we really mean what we utter wouldn’t our lives be that beautiful? But the fact
is it is not. Why?
Because we
didn’t mean what we say.
Pathetic.
Let me tell
you and I something. Something from the first verse-In the name of Allah. This-
He is teaching us a manner to be practiced, that is to start everything with ‘In
the name of Him, In the name of Allah’. And this means a lot.
Ones do not
simply say, in the name Allah when they are about to do bad things. They will
be ashamed of that. They do not recite in the name of Allah before go flirting,
before watching porns, before smoking, before cheating and the list goes. They
do not.
And this
verse remarks a separation line. It separates good and bad deeds. And if we
really mean what we say, all the times, we are separating ourselves from the
bad things, away from the wrong path. Can you imagine how exquisite is that?
Can you see how He tries to guide us? Can’t you just open your eyes and heart
for once and see the beauty of this?
And this is
just the beginning of the chapter.
You and I, we have lots more to discover.
You and I, we have lots more to discover.
But do we
really mean what we say?
